Buard, an assistant professor in the Department of Neurology at the University of Colorado School of Medicine, recently published protocols of her research evaluating the effects of a specific type of music-based rehabilitation therapy called neurological music therapy in Parkinson's patients. Therapy uses certain combinations of rhythm and movement to "reprogram" certain frequencies in the brain.
